For more than a decade, Lions Clubs International has been committed to keeping peace in our world through the Lions International Peace Poster Contest. The Peace Poster Contest was established by Lions Clubs International to support the association's first Object:  to create and foster a spirit of understanding among the peoples of the world," and to help Lions nurture and sustain positive relationships with local youth.  Over three million entries, from 75 countries have been received since the inception of the contest in 1988, and as each year of the contest passes, young people's visions for a world of peace are seen more and more.  Lions Clubs all over the world are helping to realize this dream of peace.

This year, thousands of young people around the globe will be challenged to express their feelings about world peace and depict their version of  "Peace Begins With Me ."  If your club participates, children in your community will have a chance to reflect on the importance of peace in their lives and share their visions.
